Welcome to Santa Cruz Writes

Santa Cruz Writes (SCW) is a grass roots organization founded to promote and create opportunities for writers of all ages in Santa Cruz County. Our goal is to facilitate a fertile writing environment that enhances collaboration, communication, and publishing pathways through the creation of a learning community accessible to all.

Teachers. Students. Volunteers.

The Young Writers Program brings all three together to support student writing. The pilot program begins this fall in Santa Cruz County classrooms. VOLUNTEER to work with small groups of students on teacher-directed projects, or DONATE to insure the future success of the program. Help students find the joy in expressing who they are through the written word!
