Welcome to Santa Cruz Writes

Santa Cruz Writes (SCW) is a grass roots organization founded to promote and create opportunities for writers of all ages in Santa Cruz County. Our goal is to facilitate a fertile writing environment that enhances collaboration, communication, and publishing pathways through the creation of a learning community accessible to all.

Young Writers Program

Congratulations to the Young Writers Program as they continue to expand their programs through partnerships with MAH, the Arts Council of Santa Cruz, and more.

The Young Writers Program has grown since its debut in 2012. As of Sept. 1, it will be venturing off on its own as the result of a National Writing Project grant and fiscal sponsorship by Arts Council of Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz Writes and the Young Writers Program will continue to support one another and look for opportunities to collaborate. Be sure to follow the Young Writers Program on its new Facebook Page and website at!
